Early in 2001, God began to deal with the Ratka family about launching a brand new church in Austin, Texas. While there were challenges along the way, God made it possible for the work to begin. Pastor John Ratka, and his wife Gay, began their work in a small apartment in South Austin, where they held their first service as Apostolic Life Center.
ALC first met in a small living room at the SaddleCreek Apartments at 10801 Old Manchaca Road in South Austin. This was ALC's home for the first year; but then the congregation began to outgrow its location. By 2004 God had continued to pour out His blessings on Apostolic Life Center, and the church relocated to their current location at 12027 Bethel Church Road, Manchaca, TX.
The location is a blessing and has served the congregation well; however, the ministry in Manchaca has continued to grow and grow, and now the ALC family is currently raising funds to assist with the ever expanding call from God to serve south Austin.
